AUTUMN WINTER 2020

a better normal

adapt · REFLECT · PRIORITIZE

Although, in Bungalow we often believe in going against the flow, in certain situations - no matter how much you would like to change things, you just have to accept that there is very little you can do, but to go with the flow.

For the past several months the whole world has been at a standstill like never seen before. It has taught us that globally we are all interconnected and deeply dependent on each other in every corner of the world.

A situation like this requires adaption, but no matter how frustrating it is, how loud you shout out or how much you worry, you just have to go with the flow.

We are lucky and grateful that you supported us during a hard time, that the customers welcomed our products and that we are still here and feeling strong. But Corona has left its marks on all of us in so many ways. There is a lot of catching up to do. The delay in supply chains has set us way back of targeted planning to meet your need for timely deliveries. We are working as hard as we can to get back on the good track, we were on, but until then, we kindly ask for your understanding... and to embrace likely delays as part of this global condition.

This collection launch is also a bit later than usual. The making of our new samples were put on hold when most of the world closed down, and we have been waiting for the last samples to arrive. In order to minimize the delay, we have decided only to make a digital presentation this season.

But also, we feel that this is the perfect time to go digital and hereby saving on material & resources, from paper to fuel. Though it might be a small effect, we believe that if each of us make a little effort, together we will make a big impact.

This season is so different from everything we know and due to the uncertainties, we will not be participating in any tradeshows. Instead, we will focus on servicing you and getting back on the right track.

Amidst the losses caused by Covid-19, I feel that good things will also emerge from this crisis. I do hope that many things will return to “normal” - that the world will remain globalized and that we will continue to travel and trade across borders, but maybe a bit more wisely.

I also do hope for our everyday lives to normalize, but at the same time I feel that we have been forced to reflect on our lives and been given an opportunity to, not just go back to normal, but instead to create a better normal and reset our priorities in so many aspects of life. Get your priorities right.
